I'm starting on a new project and testing the pattern now, doing the mock up. I really want to make a full size blanket and not another baby blanket. My hope is to use yarn in my stash but most of the colors are "ugly" and I don't want to use. So it's a toss up, use pretty yarns and buy them or do an ugly blanket and use up that yarn. Bonus, it's gets it out of my closet and frees up space for other things. More to come.

But if you are looking for a new crochet pattern, why not try Etsy. It's a great place to buy crochet patterns. Here are some that I've been looking at recently that you may want to try.

Zippered Pillow Cover!

Here's a fun little sewing project that even a beginner can do. My pillow uses 2 leftover quilt blocks from the Big Stars Quilt Pattern, the free pattern is here or you can get the digital pattern here. These blocks were the perfect size to a pillow form in my stash. It's also a neat way to add a little personality to your room with a sweet throw pillow.

You can always refer back to my zipper tutorial for more detailed info on adding zippers.

I got this multi pack of 24" nylon zippers on Amazon and they come in all different colors and a great price. Check them out if your interested and not sure where to get zippers.

Quilt Fabric Chart - All Sizes

The Churn Dash Holiday quilt is done finally, it was made with 17" big blocks. Wanted to share a picture of the finished quilt.

I like to know how much fabric each quilt is going to take even if it's a guestimate. Fabric can be expensive, this is a way to know how much you quilt needs and how much it will cost. But fabric isn't the only thing you need to consider.

What size batting do I need, how much backing fabric. Today's new post has all that info in one easy chart. Just keep in mind that these are estimates and the amount of fabric for the quilt top may vary depending on your quilt pattern.
